Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing the photography for a musician in London called Giles Hayter. Giles is a musician who plays the piano and instead of using a location with a piano he decided to bring his electronic pianic into the studio for his photography session. The shoot proceeded in a high energy kind of way, mainly due the the fact that we had the Rolling Stones on at full blast so Giles could play along to them. We calmed things down a but before taking some headshots and slighlty more sedate portrait photos.
The brief was to shoot Giles as if he were taking part in a performance, so I set the lighting up to look like that. He’s going to use the images to promote some performances he has coming up in London and elsewhere.
